Christmas Tree Festival raises funds for Kirkwood Hospice

A THREE-DAY Christmas tree festival raised money for Kirkwood Hospice.

Trinity Methodist Church in Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, held the celebration on Friday, Saturday and yesterday.

Some 30 Christmas trees, all decorated by local groups and organisations, went on display at the town centre church.

The weekend concluded with a short closing service and prize-giving followed by the dedication of a Tree of Remembrance.

Entrance was free but all donations will go to Kirkwood Hospice.

Proceeds from the sale of light refreshments will be donated to the House of Hope in Bethlehem.
