A Lepton man has admitted breaching his bail conditions by speaking to a woman.

Christopher Stynes, 41, of Lydgate Drive, faces trial over a denied matter of assault.

In the meantime he is banned from contacting Elizabeth Harrison or entering an address in Bridlington .

He was arrested after speaking to Ms Harrison on the phone.

Kirklees magistrates heard that he had called Mrs Harrison several times.

Prosecutor James Weekes said that on November 1 she received three missed calls from Stynes.

She said that the calls continued on November 5 – including from a withheld number.

Mr Weekes said: “She said: ‘The calls are upsetting me as I just want him to leave me alone’.

However, Stynes’ solicitor Marnat Ali said that he had contacted Mrs Harrison only once.

He said: “On one occasion he was called by the complainant. He then calls back and she asks if she can come to his address to stay because she’s fallen out with her husband.

“He says no, I’ve got bail conditions, puts the phone down and she’s called police for him breaching his bail.”

Magistrates released Stynes on the same conditions as previously. They found the breach proved but on his version.
