A MAN who tried to snatch a teenage girl in Doncaster had his claim that he was trying to save her from taking drugs rejected by a judge.
Dieter Graw, 47, was caught on CCTV camera trying to kidnap the 16-year-old from York Road in June last year.
Graw, of Great Heck, near Selby, had earlier pleaded guilty to unlawfully and by force or fraud, taking or carrying away the teenager against her will.
Judge Jackie Davies said Graw would be sentenced after psychiatric tests.
Prosecutor Jeremy Hill-Baker said there was no evidence to suggest the girl was a drug abuser when Graw snatched her off the street.
