A HUDDERSFIELD woman is to march through London - wearing a brightly-coloured bra!

Claire Leader, of Berry Brow, is set to take part in this year's Playtex Moonwalk Challenge.

The event will see approximately 15,000 men and women walking either a half or full marathon to raise money for breast cancer research.

The walk is taking place on Saturday, May 20 from London's Hyde Park and starts at midnight.

Claire, of Hangingstone Road, said: "The walk takes place at night and a lot of the participants will be walking in their highly decorated bras, including some of the men.

"My reason for taking part was that there was a programme shown with Victoria Wood who had taken part in the 2004 event.

"It looked like a fantastic event with all the camaraderie between the people taking part and the importance of breast cancer research.

"As a woman breast cancer is something which frightens me and if I can do a small thing to help to raise money then I want to do it."

To date the event has raised more than £7m for Breakthrough Breast Cancer research.
