YOUNG environmentalists are being sought for a clean-up project in the Colne Valley.

Kirklees volunteer group Enviroyouth is holding a clean-up in conjunction with the River Colne Project next Saturday.

People aged 14 to 25 will be clearing scrub on the river banks and coppicing willow trees.

Those taking part will be picked up from Skelmanthorpe council offices at 9.45am and at Huddersfield railway station at 10am. They should bring packed lunches, strong boots and outdoor clothes.
