A JURY has cleared a Huddersfield man of murder.

Marcus Rhoden, 20, was acquitted of the charge after blasting another man in the face with a gun.

He was also cleared of manslaughter, but was yesterday sent to a young offenders' institution from Leeds Crown Court after admitting a charge of wounding a man in a separate case.

The killing in Bradford Road, Fartown, was captured on CCTV film. The victim, Mr Michael Trevor Francois, died minutes after being shot in the face.

The trial had heard there was a bitter four-year feud between the two men, which erupted in bloody violence in the early hours of an April morning last year.

Relatives and friends left bouquets at the death scene.

Armed police were on duty inside and outside the courtroom during the trial.
