THREE-QUARTERS of people in the UK support calls from campaigners for a new law to combat climate change.
A national online survey for Friends of the Earth (FoE) found 75% back the introduction of a law to compel successive governments to make annual cuts in UK carbon dioxide emissions.
The research was released as Radiohead's Thom Yorke and other celebrities prepared to play a gig in London backing `The Big Ask' drive to tackle climate change.
The FoE campaign is calling for a law which would force the Government to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3% each year.
