Three British mountaineers who were found dead despite a son's brave trek to raise the alarm have been named. The bodies of Colin Riddiough, Paul Dick and John Plews, all from Cleveland, were found in the Sierra Nevada in southern Spain after the group, which also included Mr Riddiough's son Stephen, became stranded in freezing conditions. Stephen made the treacherous journey to the village of Capileira to get help but rescuers returned to find the bodies in a hole in the snow on the south side of the Mulhacen, the highest peak in the Iberian peninsula.
