A TEENAGER from Huddersfield has died and two others are in hospital after suspected drugs overdoses at a West Yorkshire nightclub.

Nineteen-year-old Andrew Hook from Almondbury was taken ill in the early hours of Sunday morning at a club called The Studio at Harber Mill in Thornton Road, Bradford.

He was taken by ambulance to Bradford Royal Infirmary where he died at lunchtime.

Two other teenagers were also admitted and also believed to have taken illicit substances.

One of them is a 19-year-old from Huddersfield and the other is an 18-year-old from Bingley.

Their conditions are not-life threatening.

Two people – a man and a woman – have been arrested in connection with the inquiry.

The Studio is in a five-storey mill at the junction of Thornton Road and Preston Street. It has an entertainments licence between 10pm to 9am.

Det Insp Steve Hopwood from Bradford South CID, confirmed the death was drugs-related.
