A COLLEGE which scrapped its plan to merge with Huddersfield University has announced a new link-up.
Doncaster College has revealed that its new partner will be Hull University.
Education chiefs said a number of regional universities had put themselves forward for the job.
A merger with Huddersfield University was scrapped in February by mutual consent.
It was said not to be the way forward for either institution.
Doncaster College is aiming to win university status by 2010.
Until then students will be awarded degrees from Hull University.
