COLNE Valley has been targeted by the Liberal Democrats as one of five key Yorkshire seats they hope to win at the next General Election.

The seat is held by Labour MP Kali Mountford with a 4,639 majority.

The Lib Dems also hope Kirklees councillor Gordon Beever will take Ryedale from the Tories.

Other targets are Leeds North-West and Bradford North - both held by Labour - and Haltemprice and Howden, where the MP is Tory Shadow Home Secretary David Davis.
