IF your favourite walk takes you beside a Yorkshire Water reservoir, there's a chance the route could soon be named after you!
The company already details walks on its website, which give directions to follow, as well as tips on parking and the terrain.
The website is www.yorkshirewater.com/yourenjoyment
But many walkers will have their own routes which link the reservoirs and the moors and hills - and Yorkshire Water wants to hear about them.
The overall winner will be presented with a framed map of his of her favourite route.
Also, signs will be put up at the beginning and end of the walk, naming it after them, a loved one or something they would like to choose themselves.
A YW spokesman said: "There are 35 walks on the website, but almost 150 reservoirs across the region.
"There will be dozens of other routes on Yorkshire Water land which ramblers use on a regular basis, or perhaps would like to use if a path could be established," he added.
"Tell us about your favourite walks, the features which make them attractive, the flora and fauna, how the walks can be reached, the facilities and how walks can be improved.
"We are particularly interested in walks of over eight miles."
