A CHOIR is tuning up for a concert to raise cash to help the tsunami victims.

Colne Valley Male Voice Choir will hand over the proceeds from An April Evening, to be staged at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday, April 9 at 7.15pm.

The concert will also feature the Kirklees Youth Symphony Orchestra and soloists soprano Louise Innes and bass Mark Ashmore.

Choir spokesman Eric Cooper said: "The concert promises to be one of the best ever, with new arrangements for choir and orchestra by Thom Meredith.

"We have decided to donate all the profits from the concert to the tsunami appeal and we need the support of the Huddersfield people to help us raise money for a worthy cause."

Tickets are available now from Roger Fielding on 01484 846262 and from March 8 at Kirklees Information Offices.
