THESE three men are suspected of carrying out a theft from a convenience shop in Mirfield.

The offence happened at the Co-op on Old Bank Road on February 18 but we are still trying to track them down.

A group of at least four men entered the shop and, while one of them acted as a look out, each of the other three picked up a box of Stella Artois beer and walked out without paying.

All the men are white and aged about 18.

They stole about £20 worth of beer.

Anyone who recognises the suspects pictured should call Pc Stephen Pryke on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.

Talking of thieves, we would like to remind sports fans visiting the Galpharm Stadium not to leave property on show in their cars.

During recent Huddersfield Town home games, vehicles have been attacked in the Leeds Road, Red Doles Road and Red Doles Lane areas.

Among items taken have been a set of golf clubs worth more than £1,000 and loose change left clearly visible on the dashboard.

But it seems that thieves are prepared to break into vehicles for even the most innocuous items.

On one occasion a window was broken into because the owner had left an empty cigarette packet on the seat.

On another, a calculator was pinched.

Keep your property out of sight and out of harm’s way.
