CONSERVATIVE Party posters have been ripped down across the district.
Posters on lamp-posts have been pulled down in the Holme Valley and Kirkburton, say officials.
No-one's sure yet who the culprits are.
Clr Nigel Patrick, who is contesting Holme Valley South, said about six posters had been lost across New Mill.
He added: "I don't know whether it's other parties or an individual, who I won't name.
"It interferes with the democratic process.
"Let everybody put posters up and let people decide for themselves."
Clr Christine Smith, who represents Kirkburton, said about half a dozen posters had been pulled down at `strategic points' in the ward.
She said: "It's silly, because it doesn't do any of the parties any good. I get annoyed when you go to a lot of trouble to put posters up."
She said they were pulled down within a day. But she added: "I'm not going to make a big issue out of it."
