Council seats swapped parties in Calderdale.

The Labour Party won four new seats, taking their total to 25 seats, the Conservatives have 19, Lib Dem have six seats and there is one Independent.

In the Lower Valley areas, Brighouse stalwart Independent Colin Stout lost his seat to Howard Blagbrough, a former Brighouse councillor who returns for the Conservatives. Elland’s Liberal Democrat member David Hardy lost his seat to Labour’s Angie Gallagher.
