OBJECTORS will have to wait until the new year before getting the result of their battle over a luxury home.
Angry neighbours are protesting about the appearance and height of the property on Huddersfield Road, Mirfield.
A decision on their complaints had been due at a Kirklees Council meeting.
But councillors agreed they will look at the site before giving a ruling.
The fate of the home is in doubt after council officials said it had been built without planning approval.
Permission was given in 2003 and 2004 for extensions.
But officers say the amount of demolition and changes has resulted in a new building, rather than one that has been extended.
Owner Azam Yaquub, speaking earlier this year, said the house was no bigger than it was on the approved plans.
The visit by councillors is due to be made on January 5, followed by a meeting to make a decision at Dewsbury Town Hall.
