A BERRY BROW man appeared in court yesterday accused of perverting the course of justice in a murder hunt.

Igor Simic, 20, of Holme Park Court, is accused of the offence in relation to the hunt for the killer of Michael Hanley.

Simic was remanded in custody by Huddersfield magistrates to appear at Leeds Crown Court next week.

Mr Hanley, 23, of Harehills, Leeds, died when he was shot in the stomach outside Sheridan's Bar in Ravensthorpe on December 27.

Two other men have appeared in connection with Mr Hanley's murder, including Darren Foley, 18, of Dalton, who app- eared before Dewsbury magistrates last Thursday accused of murder.
