A man has been barred from going within 200 metres of Deighton WMC after he was given a community order for indecent exposure.

Piotr Rybicki was convicted by a jury at Leeds Crown Courtlast month of four offences, the indecent exposure and three of breaching a sexual harm prevention order and appeared for sentence.

The court heard the indecent exposure happened in May 2014 when he followed a woman into the ladies toilets inside the club but he was only linked some time later following a subsequent offence.

The woman had heard someone entering the facilities behind her and when she came out of the cubicle found Rybicki exposing himself.

Last year Rybicki was convicted at Kirklees Magistrates Court of another offence of indecent exposure at the Leeds Road sports complex when he followed a woman into the changing rooms and it was after that the club offence came to light.

He was given a suspended prison sentence for the sports complex offence and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was made ordering him not to behave in a way that females might fear sexual harm.

Camille Morland prosecuting said the other convictions by the jury last month related to three breaches of that SHPO on August 13, 17 and 18 last year when he approached women in the bus station in Huddersfield. He stroked the face of one woman and tried to chat up the other two but caused them concern because of his attitude.

Glenn Parsons representing Rybicki said he had already spent eight months in prison on remand the equivalent of a 16 month jail sentence.

He said Rybicki’s problem was drink. He did not even remember being in the club “and would have been drunk.”

Rybicki, 20, of Crest Hill Road, Brackenhall, was given a three year community order with a 50 day rehabilitation requirement and 100 hours unpaid work.

Recorder Ben Nolan QC said if he followed the guidelines and jailed him he would be out within days whereas the community order would address the issues “behind his offending which includes an over fondness of alcohol and if necessary undertake a sexual offender treatment programme.”

He warned him the suspended sentence from last year would continue. He barred him from going with 200 metres of the Deighton WMC or the Leeds Road Sports Complex “unless passing on public transport.”
