A KIRKLEES man has admitted acquiring more than £1,000 of criminal cash.

Mark Francois, 32, appeared before Bradford Crown Court yesterday on a number of charges.

The man, of Sunways, Mirfield, pleaded guilty to acquiring £1,030 in cash, said to be proceeds of crime, between May 1 2009 and June 11 2009.

He admitted a charge of obtaining money by deception and permitting the production of cannabis at Park Lane in Bradley, between the same dates.

But he pleaded not guilty to producing cannabis and possession of cannabis.

The Crown Prosecution Service accepted his pleas at the start of what was due to be a two-day trial.

His case was adjourned for probation reports to be carried out and Francois will return to Bradford Crown Court on March 25 for sentencing.

Charges relating to his cousin, Matthew Francois, of Thackery Grove, Crosland Moor, were adjourned for him to seek legal advice.

Matthew Francois is charged with possession of cannabis and being concerned in the production of cannabis.
