This is the seemingly gravity-defying end result of a smash near Huddersfield town centre.
The crash involving a small Toyota and a black VW Polo left the Polo stuck up the lamp-post with the wheel trapped behind the triangular Give Way sign.
The crash happened just after 10am today at the junction of Portland Street and Fitzwilliam Street.
A police spokesman said: “Although it looks strange this isn’t that unusual as lamp-posts often crumple to about 45 degrees when hit and then can act like a ramp.”
One person was slightly hurt after suffering a cut to the head.
