HUDDERSFIELD University’s School of Art, Design and Architecture has created three new departments with three new principals.

The move is linked to the opening of the £14m Creative Arts building, due to open next September.

Dean of School Emma Hunt will be joined by Joe McCullagh, formerly from Nottingham Trent University, who will head the Department of Art.

Sally Wade, previously from Central Lancashire University will lead the Department of Design.

Richard Fellows, former Head of Creative Technologies, will run the Department of Architecture and 3-D Design.

Ms Hunt said: “The three departments are based around the potential to demonstrate how cognate disciplines can work within and beyond their immediate environments.

“The school has very clear ambitions to embrace the current nature of all creative subjects.”
