A MAN was ordered to leave court after he demanded to see proof of the magistrates’ right to sit on cases.

Paul Boocock was before magistrates sitting in Huddersfield.

He is due to stand trial accused of entering the Galpharm Stadium as a trespasser and causing criminal damage.

Boocock, of Blackmoorfoot Road in Crosland Moor, denies the charge.

He had been in court to have his trial date fixed.

However he was ordered from the building by security staff before this could happen.

The 24-year-old had been disrupting proceedings, quoting information from sheets of paper he brought in with him.

He told the bench that the court was not lawful.

Boocock said: “I have a lawful right to inspect the magistrates’ oath.

“I want to see that the magistrates have lawful authority to sit there.’’

He was then removed from the court after being given several warnings to behave.

As he left the court Boocock told them: “This is not even a lawful court.”

Boocock has now disrupted the court on several occasions.

The bench later agreed to fix his trial for April 20.

They were told that he is accused of taking part in a burglary at the stadium on August 4 with Qassim Hall.

Hall, who gives his address as HMP Armley, refused to come out of his cells for the hearing.

He is next due to appear on February 14.
