SEVERAL fundraising events have raised hundreds of pounds for the carers charity Crossroads Care.

Staff from Kirklees Active Leisure held a raffle and sold home-made cakes at Stadium Health and Fitness to raise £216 for the charity.

People were also able to pick up information about services available for carers.

A fundraising concert at Moldgreen United Reformed Church brought in another £250.

It featured students from Huddersfield-based Oscars Theatre Academy, charitable singing group Caritas and guitarist Chris Rogers. Chris sings with Honley Male Voice Choir and another choir member donated £100.

Support workers from Crossroads Care did a bag-packing at Morrisons in Heckmondwike, raising £265.
