A teenager was arrested after being out past his curfew hours.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, appeared at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court in custody.

He faces a three-day trial over affray charges at the Huddersfield court.

In the meantime he must abide by various bail conditions, including non association with his co-accused and a curfew.

But the court heard that on April 5 he failed to return to his local authority accommodation for the 7pm start.

The teenager’s solicitor explained that he was late catching the bus home.

Magistrates released him on the same bail conditions as previously.
