ONE foul-mouthed Lockwood drinker has helped raise £738 for children's hospice charity the Forget Me Not Trust.
Barry Thomas, infamous for turning the air blue, was sponsored by fellow drinkers at Lockwood and Salford Liberal Club, in Victoria Road, to not curse for a month.
He washed his mouth out with soap and raised an impressive £230. The rest was raised by donation, a raffle and a donkey derby.
Club Secretary Carol Sullivan - seen with Barry - said she was delighted at the amount.
"Barry said it as a bit of a joke at first but lots of people said they would sponsor him to do it," she said.
"I was not sure he could do it but I never heard him swear once. He did really well.
"We decided to raise the money for the trust because it will go towards children who need it in this area."
