DALTON couple Frank and Kate Thomas celebrated their diamond wedding yesterday.
Mr and Mrs Thomas, of Long Grove Avenue, have lived in their home for 54 years.
They married at Huddersfield Register Office and celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family party.
The couple have two daughters and a son, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr Thomas, 82, worked at the former Highfield Gears, Longroyd Bridge, for 32 years as a turner
Mrs Thomas, 81, worked at the former Rushworth's department store in the alterations department and then as a buyer at the former Barker's shop in Queen Street.
