INDIAN dance expert Palvinder Nall is coming to show Huddersfield dancers some new moves.

Palvinder - a theatre and performance student at Leeds University's Bretton Hall campus - will visit Tristan Dance Studios at Marsh on November 19.

She will be teaching Bollywood dance techniques such as intricate hand and head movements to students at the studio, on Luck Lane.

Palvinder will start the workshop at 1.30pm, with a talk about Indian dance.

She will then teach a two and a half hour practical workshop, then give a short performance of her own.

The workshop costs £12, or £10 for full-time students.

For bookings and more information, contact organiser Kathy Gale on 01226 725529.

As well as being a student, Palvinder has also been a freelance artist since 2003.

She has studied dance forms including belly dancing, contemporary, street and flamenco.

She mainly focuses on modern Indian dance, a fusion of world dance with a classical Indian dance foundation.

Palvinder is preparing to tour next year in a production called Pagal - Nothing Lasts Forever, a new show by Leicester's non-profit theatre company Phizzical Productions.
