TALENTED dancer Harriet Brooks has won a place in the final of Britain's major dance competition.
Harriet, 16, of Osprey Drive, Netherton, will be among 52 finalists in the Miss Dance contest in Sheffield next June.
She gained her final place with a heat success at Guiseley. Heats took place all over the country.
Harriet has been a pupil of Adele Taylor, of Dundas Street, Huddersfield, since she was four.
She is now studying for A-levels at Huddersfield New College.
She is a former pupil of Newsome High School.
After her A-levels, Harriet hopes to study dance and drama at university.
