DANCE fans are getting the chance to be put through their paces with a Huddersfield clergyman.

Trevor Lloyd, the Pastor of the Community Church in Market Street, Paddock, will be giving dance tuition at a charity ball tomorrow.

The ball is being held at the Quayside Balcony at Huddersfield University.

It is in aid of the Forget- Me Not Trust, which plans to open a children's hospice in Kirklees or Calderdale, and Huddersfield Pregnancy Crisis Centre.

Trevor, 40, said: "Following the success of Strictly Come Dancing on television we thought people would enjoy the chance to have a go themselves.

"For people who have never learned to dance the idea of a `proper dance' may seem daunting.

"With tuition people can see what to do and then put it into practice."

Local businesses Gardinia Windows, Open House Designs and Quarmby Garage are sponsoring the ball.

Tickets cost £10 and there will also be live music and a light buffet.
