BACK from honeymoon and already bored with marriage, Hedda Gabler is clearly on a path to destruction.

See how the journey of one of theatre’s most thrilling heroines unfolds at the Lawrence Batley Theatre where Huddersfield Thespians’ production of this Henrik Ibsen classic plays all week.

The show, in the LBT’s Cellar space, is directed by Derek Smith with actress Hannah Head in the title role.

The cast features Richard Ely and Helen Kapil both new acting talent recruited by the Thespians for this show, though both have worked with other companies.

Well known as actress and director, Veronica Moran returns to play Miss Julia Tesman with another Thespian stalwart Maureen Speight back on stage as Berta.

Alistair Cheetham, well-known as actor and director in Huddersfield and Halifax, plays the role of George and the equally experienced Patrick Hibbin is cast as Judge Brack.

Performances continue tonight and run each evening until Saturday at 7.15pm. There is also a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

Tickets from the box office on 01484 430528.
