A Deighton man has appeared in court accused of raping a child.
Simon Harrison, of Riddings Rise, faces three charges of rape as well as one allegation of attempted rape.
He has a further four charges of sexual assault against him.
The alleged offences are historic and involve a girl aged under 13.
District Judge Michael Fanning, sitting at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court, sent Harrison’s case to Leeds Crown Court.
The 33-year-old will first appear there on July 12 and was banned from contacting the complainant.
He must also not have any unsupervised contact with a child aged under 16.
