A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of failing to provide police with a breath sample.
Anne Koulouris, of Shepherds Grove in Deighton, was before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.
She denied the allegation, dating from December 4.
Magistrates were told that on that date the 38-year-old was arrested by police.
They had been called to a car park after a woman collided with a post.
She was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
Magistrates were told that Koulouris provided one sample of breath.
This showed that she had 158 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Koulouris didn’t provide the required second sample of breath.
However she claims she had a reasonable excuse as she suffered a panic attack.
Magistrates adjourned her case until March 15 for trial. Unconditional bail was granted.
