TWO nine-year-old dancers have won scholarships to a centre in York.
Chloe Clarke and Ella Marshall go to Patricia Stoj's dance school in Lindley.
From next month, the girls will be trained at the ballet-based Louise Browne Yorkshire Scholarship Centre.
Just 16 pupils out of 110 applicants were chosen for the year-long course.
At the end of each year, pupils can re-audition for the next 12 months' tuition.
The centre - a registered charity - was originally paid for the Royal Academy and provided a facility in the North for gifted youngsters unable to travel to London for training.
The teachers are all former principals of the Royal Ballet.
