A DELIVERY driver found hanged in his kitchen had planned to have himself tattooed with the words ‘the heart can’t heal what the mind can’t forget’.

Daniel Duncan Geoffrey Mitchell, 36, was found hanged in the kitchen of his flat at Wakefield Road, Denby Dale, on August 15.

A note with the words ‘the heart can’t heal what the mind can’t forget’ was found in the flat, Huddersfield Coroner’s Court heard yesterday.

But Mr Mitchell’s family told the inquest the bakery delivery driver had planned to have himself tattooed with the phrase.

Recording an open verdict Coroner Peter Straker said he did not have the evidence required to conclude that Mr Mitchell had intended to take his life.
