A woman was sexually assaulted in Market Street after a night out in Huddersfield.

Detectives have today released details of the attack which happened at the end of last month.

They want witnesses to help trace the man responsible for the March 28 attack.

The 18-year-old woman was walking past Huddersfield Magistrates Court, between the Civic Centre 3 and the Jobcentre buildings, at around 5am when a man started following her.

As she approached the Sainsbury’s supermarket on Market Street, the man grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.

He has then walked off in the direction of the Civic Centre.

The suspect is described as aged in his 20s, slim, between 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall with olive skin and shoulder-length ‘blondish/blackish’ straight hair with no fringe. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with a low cut V-neck.
