Detectives have made two more arrests following a firearms incident in Huddersfield last weekend.

Police were called to Church Street, Paddock, after shots were fired at a Toyota Yaris at around 10.15pm on Sunday.

A man in his 30s was injured in the disturbance and he was treated at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for non-life threatening injuries.

This afternoon police have revealed that a 32-year-old local man was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

A 29-year-old local man was also arrested in the early hours of this morning and is currently being questioned.

The arrests follow on from two others last week.  The two men were released on police bail.

The investigation is being led by West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET).

Inquiries are ongoing.
