A DJ was mugged on his own doorstep in the early hours.

Now Dewsbury detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The robbery took place on Vine Street, Cleckheaton, on Saturday, July 23, at 4.30am.

The 21-year old man had walked to his home, carrying a black 'Slappa' bag which contained compilation CDs that he had made himself.

But as he opened the front door to his home he was approached by a man carrying what appeared to be a wrench and was threatened.

Fearing that he would be attacked, the victim handed over the bag and the suspect ran off.

He was described as male, around 5ft, 7ins to 8in tall, of stocky build and with a deep voice.

He was wearing a dark blue hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Any witnesses, or anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Con Cath Lowdon at Dewsbury CID on 01924 431095 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
