POLICE are hunting a firebug who struck twice in the early hours.
They are investigating two arson attacks in Rastrick and are appealing for witnesses.
At 1am yesterday, fire crews were called to Malham Road after an unoccupied terraced house was believed to have been deliberately set alight.
Another incident was then reported shortly afterwards and crews were called to tackle a blaze at a nearby ground floor flat on Sherburn Road, the adjoining road.
A wheeled bin was believed to have been set alight at the entrance of the unoccupied property.
Both fires are being treated as malicious and Calderdale CID suspect they are linked.
Police are keen to trace an 18 to 19-year-old white man, who was seen in the area just before one of the fires. He was wearing a baseball cap.
