DR WHO author Steve Cole was greeted by a flurry of fans at a Huddersfield primary school yesterday.
And he later signed copies of his new sci-fi release at The Children’s Bookshop, in Lindley.
According to event organiser Sonia Benster, the author of the Astrosaurs and Cows-in-Action series left children at Moorlands Primary School “mesmerised” by his afternoon of entertainment.
“They couldn’t take their eyes off him. He is so energetic he really entertained the children” said Sonia.
“He has written some wonderful books and was signing the latest in his series, which is The Viking Emoo-gency.
“It is quite something to keep 300 children silent and completely engaged, but he did it.
“They even erupted into spontaneous applause for him.
“His visit will have set the wheels in motion, as I know that when you have read one of his books, you have to pick up another.
“He is a wonderful author and we are all so grateful that he took some time out to come and talk to us.”
