A DRIVER was seriously injured in a road accident near Holmfirth early today.
The 19-year-old man was in a Vauxhall Corsa on the A635 Greenfield Road, travelling away from Holmfirth, when it hit The Ford Inn just after 2.30am.
Firefighters spent an hour cutting him free, while paramedics stabilised his condition.
The driver, from Meltham, was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary suffering from broken bones and internal bleeding.
