If you're planning on driving up Holme Moss today, don't expect to get over the top!

Kirklees Council cleared the A6024 Woodhead Road, which links Holmfirth with Woodhead Pass - but Woodhead Pass itself is closed, meaning traffic cannot go any further than the top of Holme Moss and drivers must turn round at the top.

A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Council said the road had not been cleared over the border because Woodhead Pass was closed - and the authority would be asking Kirklees Council to stop traffic driving up Holme Moss, as they would not be able to cross the border.

Our photographer filmed the journey up to the top this morning - click above to watch it.

The start of the video shows Holme village, and follows the road to Holme Moss - where traffic must either turn round or brave the snowy stretch down to Woodhead Pass.
