POLICE carrying out drugs raids in Huddersfield have discovered a massive amount of cash.
Officers raided several homes across the town yesterday and discovered the money at a house in Meltham.
They are not saying exactly how much they found, but a police spokeswoman described it this morning as a substantial amount.
The money is now subject of a forensic examination.
She revealed that West Yorkshire Police's financial investigation unit is now involved.
Following tip-offs from the public, the raids continued throughout the day.
Police targeted six homes in Dalton, two in Meltham, and houses in Rawthorpe and Fartown.
Four people were arrested. They have all been released on bail while inquiries take place.
A substantial amount of what is believed to be a Class A drug was recovered from a house in Dalton.
A large stash of CS gas, which is prohibited under the Firearms Act, was found at another home.
