A SPECIAL police squad set up to tackle the drugs menace across Kirklees has made more arrests.

Officers from the Kirklees District Drugs Team raided a house in the Staincliffe area of Batley on Monday evening.

Police say a substantial quantity of heroin was found with an estimated street value of around £7,000 and a substantial quantity of cocaine.

A 28-year-old woman, a 17-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with the inquiry.

Det Insp John Gilbody, head of Kirklees District Drugs Team, said:

"These are positive steps in response to information from the local community.

"I would encourage people to keep coming forward by providing information to the Dob In A Dealer hotline on 0800 555 111."
