A TWO-day course on dry stone walling is being held on May 15 and 16.

The course, being run by instructors from West Yorkshire Branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association, is aimed at beginners and improvers.

It is one of a new series of courses being held following the success of the Upper Colne Valley Dry Stone Walling project. The project has ended but dry stone walling training sessions are continuing due to their popularity.

The course, 10am-4pm, is being held in Meltham, on a site which is expected to provide some taxing walling because of its sloping ground.

Tools and equipment will be provided and all participants must wear boots with toe protection.
