TWO Huddersfield women are raising cash for the British Heart Foundation with a cross-Channel cycling challenge.
Optician Angela Barraclough and GP Kate McMichael, both aged 49, are tackling a 420km cycle from London to Reims in the Champagne region of France.
They will set off on their four-day trip on June 10 - but first they have to raise £1,250 each.
All the money will go to the British Heart Foundation.
It is the second time Mrs Barraclough - whose practice on Westbourne Road in Marsh - has cycled for the BHF with Dr McMichael, who has a practice in Stainland.
Two years ago, the pair rode from London to Brighton for the charity.
Mrs Barraclough said: "As we had done things with them before, they asked us to do this.
"We are both 50 this year so we decided to celebrate with a challenge."
Anyone who wants to support the pair, or make donations, should contact Mrs Barraclough on 01484 531938.
