EASTENDERS star Matt Lapinskas helped launch a new Huddersfield-based talent agency.

Lapinskas, who plays Anthony Moon in the prime time BBC soap, hosted an acting class at the opening session of the Reach Performing Arts Agency, at St Paul’s Hall, Huddersfield University.

The agency will give budding stars of stage, screen and iTunes tips on how to break into show business.

Reach plans to run workshops run by dancers Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton, Matt Walker and Keiron Providence.

Between them, the three have performed on West End shows such as River Dance and Hairspray and alongside pop stars Chris Brown, Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs and Cheryl Cole.

Reach founder Natalie Pinnock-Hamlton said: “I know how expensive it is to attend similar provisions and through years of volunteering in the local community I am also aware of the wealth of talent that is not being channelled anywhere.

“By teaching new skills to children and young people, we aim to develop confidence and self-esteem in order to help them reach their full potential.

“Through making this more affordable we hope to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity they deserve to follow their dreams.”
