It’s going to be a wet and windy Easter in Huddersfield.

After a sunny but quite cold Good Friday Saturday will take a downward spiral into cloud and drizzle.

Huddersfield weather expert Paul Stevens said: “We will have a strong south westerly wind bringing rain by the afternoon with it clearing eastwards by Saturday evening. Expect gusts up to 35mph but it will be mild at around 12˚C (53˚F).

“Easter Day will be breezy with sunshine and showers with some heavy rain in the afternoon and the possibilty of thunder in places. It will be cooler with the temperature at about 9˚C (48˚F).

“Monday will start bright but wind and rain will then spread from the south through the morning and be persistent and heavy at times.”

Temperatures on Monday will fall even further down to 7˚C (44˚F).
