Veteran alt rockers have announced a Secret Festival.

Brighouse boys Embrace are to headline at their third event of its kind on September 3, where they will also release their first record since 2014.

While they have already revealed the location as being Lotherton Hall near Leeds, where they also held it last year, the five piece will keep schtum on their support acts for the day.

In previous years have included names as big as Starsailor, Magic Numbers and Gomez.

More is known about their new release, titled the Secret EP, which will be available exclusively on the day of the festival.

It will feature new tracks Love is a Basic Need, Bash the Rat and The White Alien, which will be performed on the day.

Talking about the festival, Danny McNamara, singer, said: “There was such a great family atmosphere about the festival last summer that we had to keep it there.

“It feels like we’ve found our home, for now at least.

“Also, we’re very proud of our Yorkshire roots so it’s good to be able to put something back into the local community.

“Each year the expectations get bigger and the pressure is on us to deliver but I reckon we’ve got it covered – we’ve got some very exciting surprises up our sleeve.”

Like last year, camping will be allowed over the weekend from September 2 to 4, while children of all ages are allowed to come with their parents.

The first ever Secret Festival was held in 2014 at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire and followed years of playing Secret Gigs in unusual locations such as caves, forests, boats and stately homes.

Danny said: “It was always an ambition of ours.

“We knew the Secret Gig idea was something that our fans loved and we wanted to see if we could bring the excitement and magic of those shows to a festival format.

“Also a lot of our fans who have grown up with us now have children and we wanted an event that would be a great experience for all ages.”

Tickets for the festival are now available, costing £53.50 for adults and £22 for under 12s, with Friday camping costing £11 for adults.
