BRIGHOUSE band Embrace are to play their most unusual gig to date - in a fan's front room.

The band - featuring Brighouse brothers Danny and Richard McNamara - gave fans the chance win a home concert in a competition on their secret gig website www.secretgig.com

The lucky winner is Les Clarkson, from Swadlincote in Derbyshire.

Ten runners-up got special advance copies of the Out Of Nothing DVD which was shot at Secret Gig 14.

The gig was an acoustic set on September 21 and 22 last year, on a luxury yacht off the coast of Palma, the capital of sunshine island Majorca.

It was watched by a handful of fans who had won the Embrace pop quiz and sent videos saying why they should win.

The DVD will be on general release in a few months.

The band, as well as announcing their smallest gig to date, have just revealed the support acts for their biggest-ever headline gigs.

Embrace have revealed the line-up for two gigs they have arranged at Millennium Square, Leeds, on May 28 and 29. Each gig has sold out and will attract about 8,000 people.

The supporting acts for May 28 will be The Ordinary Boys, The Subways, Hard-Fi and up and coming Leeds band Anechoic.

On May 29, the supporting slots will be filled by Thirteen Senses, Longview, Engineers and Infrasound.

Embrace are due to end a sell-out UK tour this weekend, with shows at London's Brixton Academy.

They will then be performing a series of gigs in the USA from March 9 to 14.

The band will then be playing at the South By South West music festival in Austin, Texas, from March 14 to 20.

The festival is a Mecca for bands trying to break America. It attracts more than 1,000 bands, including Embrace and emerging new Leeds band the Kaiser Chiefs.

Embrace will headline a special South by South West showcase gig at Austin's Buffalo Billiards venue, which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2.

Coverage will be on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music.

After returning from the USA, Embrace will play gigs in Ireland on April 19 and 20.
